In February 2026 information has been added in relation to sexually coerced extortion.

In February 2026 information has been added on child financial exploitation which is where a child is groomed into helping criminals launder money or commit fraud. Most children are financially exploited without understanding what is going on or realising they are committing an offence.

First Aid and Medication

In February 2026 Section 3, Home Remedies has been amended to include the increasing advisory role pharmacists play regarding over the counter medication.

Alcohol, Drugs, Smoking and Vaping

In February 2026 a link has been added to NHS information on Young People and Vaping.

School and Education

This chapter has been reviewed and updated locally In February 2026 and has also been updated to reflect Granting Leaves of Absence in Working Together to Improve School Attendance statutory guidance, which states that generally, the Department for Education does not consider a need or desire for a holiday or other absence for the purpose of leisure and recreation to be an exceptional circumstance for leave of absence.
